CASEDOK Runner allows you to generate sophisticated documents at your fingertips. Just press the ‘Run’ button to create one or more high quality documents in one single run. Hereby, model data is seamlessly extracted from the AllFusion Gen repository. For each report, you can select the objects to be included by name or wildcards (*, ?). A standard report library, which is part of the product, covers all phases of a AllFusion Gen project from planning to implementation. These predefined, well-structured reports help you save time and money when creating project documentation for your customers and management.
Report libraryThe CASEDOK Runner report library is a collection of more than 100 different reports. The library includes strategic planning reports as well as specific datastore definitions or window field details. There is a wide range of reports available, from simple object lists up to complete phase reports. Various interest groups such as analysts, developers, QA specialists or project managers can benefit from the various reports in this library. All of the reports are well-structured documents including title page, table of contents and index. Some of the reports include diagrams such as 3270 screens or GUI windows, hierarchy diagrams or action block diagrams. If you want to create your own individual reports that adhere to your needs and organizational standards, try the CASEDOK Developer tool. This powerful workbench gives you access to the full range of AllFusion Gen objects and lets you define very high quality documents based on the rich palette of layout elements. Various text and hypertext formatsCASEDOK Runner lets you create reports in different formats. Choose Rich Text Format (RTF) to get a paper document for your word processor, such as Microsoft Word, Lotus WordPro, WordPerfect or any other publisher. Create a Windows Helpfile if you want to distribute your encyclopedia model as a hypertext document, or better use the HTML driver to publish your model data directly on the your intranet. Term translationCASEDOK Runner reports contain text and property variables which can be adapted to your individual needs, e.g. to translate report titles to a foreign language or replace original object names by site-specific terms. Runtime featuresWith CASEDOK Runner it is very easy to create readable, well-structured documentation: Choose a AllFusion Gen model from your individual model list, select one or more reports from the report library, activate the appropriate publishing format(s) and then press the ‘Run’ button. CASEDOK Runner now automatically produces the required document(s) for all selected formats in one single run. You may save the run parameters in a job file. If you want to run the same job later, simply load the job file and press the ‘Run’ button again. Repository accessCASEDOK Runner reads model information seamlessly from the AllFusion Gen repository tables. CASEDOK Runner supports the host and the client/server encyclopedia as well as the local workstation files. Using the host encyclopedia, CASEDOK Runner also provides report execution in batch.
